Whether one is already a seasoned professional working in the field of lawn care or is newly introduced to the lawn care industry — all persons in the industry can benefit from one key message: as a professional you will be growing, caring and maintaining individual ground spaces in a manner that is quite similar to agricultural farming. Each farmer knows the plants it wants to grow from the specific varieties that are offered, the environment it best grows in and the care required to maximize its health. Each farmer has a very clear understanding of the soil base they have to grow plant in. A farmer can grow thousands and millions of plants in a field and obtain full success by simply knowing the relevant facts. In the lawn care profession, we are no different. We too grow millions upon millions of turf grass plants in a field — an urban field — surrounding a homeowner or office property ground space. The problem is that most professionals look at the volume of customers, the ease of servicing them (with specialized tools and products) and then simply overlook the most basic element to success:
- Knowing the facts on growing the right turf grass plant varieties,
- Understanding the proper environment to grow the plants.
This on-line course will establish in you a clear understanding of what facts you need to accomplish a successful healthy lawn space — one that is vibrant in green, thick and contains only turf grass plants (versus broadleaf weed penetration, or weed grass involvements), avoids insect damage and one that is created to maintain its green consistently throughout any high heat or drought periods. In addition, this course will offer practical service structures that allow the business or individual to care for a high level volume of customers using proper techniques, equipment and products to ensure success and profit. Once the course is completed, you will feel quite comfortable in addressing any hurdles, lawn or customer questions/issues and you will be well equipped to successfully contribute to the business you are currently in...or, elevate the professionalism and expertise within the business you own.
Depending on your years in the industry and your study habits, the time to complete the course will vary; approximately 5-6 hours. The course has been designed to allow students to stop and re-start with ease.
